The Process is a hard cover photo book comprised of 119 pages, 91 photos, 4 journal entries, and two written pieces. The first 100 copies purchased were numbered, signed, and came with a 5x7 print selected from this body of work. This has been produced as a limited one time edition.
The Process was purposed to be an intimate look into my experience of living in Spain at the age of 21 years old. This work conceptually explores the human condition, focusses on the dynamics encountered through my process of personal formation.
At the start of 2018 I moved to the Basque Country of Spain, in a city named Bilbao. The only photography gear I brought with me was my iPhone, my Leica M6 (with a 35mm f/2), and roughly 100 rolls of film. This marked the start of my transition away from using a digital SLR, and towards only shooting film for my personal/professional work. I had planned on developing the rolls shot abroad after I had returned home to the states in May. My reasons for doing this were:
