Film Log: Roll 16

1st Roll of Kodak Ektar 100

I took my camera with me around town to get a couple snaps of life in the summer in Northern San Diego. We decided to head up to Oceanside pier to see some interesting people, and busy beaches; but on our way home we stopped in Encinitas as the sun was going down.

This was my first time shooting on Kodak Ektar 100 and I had heard plenty of reviews all over the map with how people feel about this film, but to be honest I found it to be quite nice. It didn't seem to have the exposure latitude that I'm used to with kodak's portra 400 but definitely performed to my exceed expectations. I really like how it manifests darker skin tones, but definitely noticed people who were pale looked more red than desired. I found that Ektar is perfect to shoot in stronger sunlight, and if you're looking to get more saturation at sunset. Anywho... here's the gallery. Enjoy!
